Sarah A Gura

I am always impressed with what a healing conversation can do. I often work with first responders, adult clients, and older teenagers. I specialize in treating anger, anxiety, depression, grief & loss, panic, and trauma.

I am EMDR Trained, and the bulk of my experience is working with different types of traumas, including: developmental trauma, clinging (attachment) trauma, work-related trauma (first responders), and Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).  My approach includes Buddhist Psychology, Existentialism, Neuropsychology, and EMDR.

I think what I love the most about being a therapist is applying psychology so that it is useful. Whether you just want to talk or have a specific concern, counseling is helpful. You do not have to feel so stressed or upset!

I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT-200). At Lewis University, I provide college-level workshops on various psychology topics. As a public speaker, I enjoy giving helpful information to any size group!

Take good care, Sarah
